I’m a pretty optimistic person, and generally getting out into the great outdoors and stepping away from the computer screen will do wonders to get me out of a “funk.”
But on other days those mindset gremlins rear their ugly heads and I find them super hard to shake.
I start thinking ...
- There are so many others out there offering the same services/products/program … why should anyone listen to me … why should I bother sharing my work?
- Who am I to teach this? I’m don’t have an MBA. I haven’t been published in Entrepreneur. Am I a fraud?
- Is it worth it? I’m taking time away from my kids, my family, myself when I work on my business. Am I being selfish?
- I don’t have a jet-setting, high-fashion “Instagram-worthy” life. Does anyone care to know the real me?
Can you relate?
I thought so! :)
And let me tell you … there are THOUSANDS of other female entrepreneurs out there that relate too .. JUST LIKE YOU.
Don’t believe me?
I’ve been publishing the #LiveMoreWorkLess blog series over the last couple of months, with a purpose to inspire you, motivate you, and encourage you to re-examine your own definition of business + life success through the sharing of real life entrepreneur stories.
One of the questions I asked the contributors was “What do you find as the biggest struggle in your ongoing quest to build a LIVE MORE WORK LESS business and lifestyle?”
And your openness … your realness … your willingness to share your biggest internal struggles … BLEW ME AWAY!
You told me things like …
“The biggest struggle is always within myself. I hear from all sides that it's not going to work out, that I should focus on getting a 'real' job, and those comments seed doubt that can be difficult to shake.”
You told me ...
“Sometimes I get stuck in that comparison game, looking at my mentors or other female entrepreneurs and feeling like I will never get "there!" I try to stay positive and get out of the "are we there yet mindset."
Ladies, I’m telling you. The struggle is sooooooo real!
And you’re absolutely not alone in the way that you feel.
In today’s BRAND NEW featured blog post in the Live More Work Less blog series, I’m sharing 20 female entrepreneurs' answers to the question regarding what their biggest struggle is as they work towards creating a Life More Work Less business + lifestyle.
